The North Carolina State Wolfpack have made some nose on the recruiting trail, as the program has landed 4 star prospect Ian Steere. A member of the 2018 recruiting class, the 6 foot 9 Ian Steere was previously committed to Creighton, but he opted out of the commitment recently to play closer to his native North Carolina.

As is the custom in 2017 , the big man made his announcement on the mean streets of Twitter.

Steere joins Immanuel Bates, another four star prospect, in North Carolina State’s class of 2018 recruiting haul. Considering that new head coach Kevin Keatts also has Devon Daniels and C.J. Bryce sitting out a transfer year during 2017 18 and he’ll have four new talented players at his disposal for next season.

Keatts is entering his first season coaching the Wolfpack.

For those unaware, he was an assistant coach with the Louisville Cardinals from 2011 14. He took the UNC Wilmington job after that.

During his first season as a head coach, he was named CAA Coach of the Year after leading the Seahawks to their first conference championship in nine seasons. It was also the program’s first winning season in seven years. Keatts backed up his first season with a second also resulting in him becoming the CAA Coach of the Year. He would also take UNC Wilmington to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2005 06 college basketball season.

This last season was more of the same for the Keatts. He once again took his team dancing after winning 29 games during the season.

Next up for Keatts is reshaping Kenny Williams Jersey, rebuilding and reestablishing the Wolfpack.
